How Stewardly uses your Google data
Each person on your team chooses whether to connect their own Google account. When you do, Stewardly asks for the access below so your conversations, meetings and documents with a donor can inform that donor's brief and the answers you get.
| Google service | What Stewardly does | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Gmail | Finds and reads messages exchanged with a specific donor | To cite them in that donor's brief and in answers to your questions |
| Gmail drafts | Creates drafts in your own mailbox | So you can review, edit and send a reply yourself |
| Google Calendar | Reads your calendar events, read-only | To find meetings a donor attended |
| Google Drive and Docs | Finds and reads documents that name a donor, and creates a document when you ask for one | To include what your team has written about a donor, and to save your work |
| Google account | Reads your email address | To show which account is connected |
What happens to it
Stewardly reads Google data at the moment a brief or an answer is being produced. The relevant content goes to Anthropic, whose models write the reply and don't train on it. Stewardly doesn't copy your mailbox or your Drive. It keeps only the short excerpt a brief quotes, with a link to the original. If you connect an app such as Claude or ChatGPT to your Stewardly account, it receives the results of what it asks for.
What Stewardly never does
Stewardly never sends email on your behalf. It doesn't sell Google data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. You can revoke access at any time from your Stewardly integrations page or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Stewardly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The Stewardly Privacy Policy has the full details.
